Our Fees

It's Key to us that we are clear about our fees.

We believe our clients should know exactly what our service costs before they instruct us.

Securing veterinary practice finance involves considerably more than making an introduction to a lender. We invest time in understanding your business, assessing the market, identifying appropriate lenders, structuring your proposal, preparing and presenting information, responding to lender requirements and managing the transaction. Our fees reflect the work, expertise and responsibility involved.

Initial Fee

approx.£500

Once we have understood your requirements and believe we can assist, we will provide an indication of the terms we believe may be achievable. If you decide to proceed, we will ask you to sign our Terms of Business. An initial fee of approximately £500 is normally payable when you sign our Terms of Business.

Success Fee

typically0.75%of the finance facility

Our typical success fee is 0.75% of the finance facility. A higher percentage may apply where the facility is relatively small or the funding requirement is particularly complex. The applicable fee will always be discussed and agreed with you before you instruct us and will be clearly set out in our Terms of Business.

There are no surprises: we will discuss our fees with you before you instruct us, and our Terms of Business clearly set out what you will pay, when it becomes payable and the terms that apply throughout the process.

When does the success fee become payable?

We believe this should be completely clear before you instruct us. Once we have collated and submitted a detailed proposal to a lender and received an Approval in Principle, or other written confirmation from the lender indicating an appetite or willingness to provide the proposed finance, our success fee becomes payable in accordance with our Terms of Business.

The success fee remains payable if you subsequently decide not to proceed or if the transaction cannot ultimately complete for reasons outside our control, in accordance with our Terms of Business.

We will explain these circumstances to you before you instruct us, and our Terms of Business clearly set out when the success fee becomes payable. There should be no ambiguity or unexpected fee at the end of a transaction.

Lender Commissions

In some circumstances, a lender may pay us a commission for introducing or arranging finance. Where this applies, the relevant information will be disclosed in our Terms of Business.

Why do we charge a fee?

Because our role goes considerably further than introducing you to a lender.

  • We research the market.
  • We assess potential lenders.
  • We help structure the proposal.
  • We prepare and present information.
  • We respond to lender requirements.
  • We help manage the transaction.
  • And we use our experience to identify potential issues before they become problems.

Our expertise has value and we believe you should know exactly what you are paying for.
